At the Royal Albert Hall for a showing of the film with a live orchestra playing John Williams's classic score. Always a superb way to watch a film and this was excellent. One of Dave's birthday presents.
Although earlier had wished we weren't booked to go - my cold having worsened with a coughing fit in the night. Weather horrid again from early morning and we ate our scrambled eggs on toast inside again.
Left our lovely Airbnb just after 10 for a much easier drive home - the odd shower and amazing cloudscapes. Home with only a tiny window to turn around and get back out again.
Tube to South Kensington - the station was seriously mobbed with tourist and family museum traffic - and struggled past the hordes on Exhibition Road. At the RAH we somehow managed to order a half bottle of Moët for the interval.
Film and orchestra brilliant and I was stocked with lozenges to keep cough at bay. After found a tucked away German restaurant in Exhibition Road, Stein's Berlin (associated with the Goethe Institute I think), for their white asparagus specials menu - goat's cheese salad followed by sea trout with white asparagus. Dave had a a mini fondue and vegan strudel.
Home to go straight to bed - you really don't want a cold when you've booked up a busy weekend.
