In the lavender bush after I disturbed its web outside the back door. As I posted on Facebook, how on earth do they know to the exact calendar date when to come out and lie in wait for you - dead on beginning of September.
Worked from home, fretting somewhat, a cloudy muggy day with the odd drop of rain. And ended up working late as I took a call from IT about a mysterious issue accessing a website - not solved.
Wonderful close-up. I'm waiting for them to start building their webs during the night between my car and the wife's. or between the side-view mirror and the door. One usually lives in the side-view mirror all fall.
That is a very odd spider…..the cheek of them too when they must know you don’t like them! Love the spider has chosen that lovely pale lavender to sit on.
