I've taken pics of this great art deco block of apartments many times before but first time I've realised its puddle potential. Didn't have time to play as just as I was hunkering down, Dave called me on my mobile.
As the Olympics nears and the athletes and visitors start to arrive, it's best to be prepared. Some invaluable advice from Transport for Londonist:
"The following parts of London are likely to be particularly busy over the next few weeks:
1) Where you work.
2) Where you live."
And did you know:
"Walking is a great way of getting around London – and quicker than you think. Walking from Trafalgar Square to Croydon, for example, can take as little as three and half hours."
great puddle shot - think I might go and find myself on today!! shouldn't be hard!
LOVE your amusing Olympics quotes - i've noticed the human chaos increasing - was on Victoria line at 6:45 the other morning and I could barely get on the tube at TH!!
very very cool article - have you been watching Twenty Twelve on BBC2 -how they get away with half the stuff on there I have no idea...but has me in absolute stiches!
Brilliant shot - looks like a tilt-shift/puddle combo! Love the advice - takes me back to Nigel walking from White City to King's Cross in an IRA bomb scare (those were the days!) which closed the Tube. It was hot and he had a suit on and he navigated by the sun and he still remembers how hideous it was (and he likes walking). Still you can get to work from Croydon, get yourself a nice cup of tea and be all ready for your journey home again!!
