Master mason

Chr Cass - Master mason to his Maj Ordnance - Dy'd April 21 1734. This is a grade II listed monument, apparently the earliest granite one in England, to Christopher Cass, a notable London mason, responsible for St John's, Smith Square and Blenheim Palace. This is in St John's Gardens, the old churchyard for St John's in Smith Square.

Another lovely hot day - a lazy lunchtime spent outside on the grass. After work, made it to the last Trad Academy class, learning Rakes of Mallow this week. Then a few glasses of red and a halloumi salad outside in the warm evening to round it all off.
