Popped to the organic stall for the first time in weeks - loads of seasonal produce (and a lot from our local growers Organiclea) including very interesting sweetcorn with a russet tinge called Bloody Butcher.
The park officially opened today (has been open for over a month, but bits have been closed off). Lots of fun and merriment going on - wine tasting (excellent value at £3.50), wild mushroom displays (pictured), food stalls, mellow jazz, sports displays, walks and talks and so on.
We had some of the wine tasting and a bit of lunch sitting on a bench in the warm sunshine - all very pleasant.
Lots going on there now, skate park, children's play area, the William Morris Gallery and tea-room, another tea-room in the park itself, basketball nets - was mobbed with kids and adults. Excellent.
Sounds like you had a lovely day.
