Rainbow Challenge 2023 - A bibliophile's world: Orange
Of course featuring the classic orange of a Penguin paperback.
1. Ordnance Survey Explorer 1:25000 maps. Have used.
2. Appetite - Nigel Slater was the first cook I really related too with his no-nonsense attitude to cooking. Have used.
3. Go Set a Watchman - sequel/prequel/whatever to To Kill a Mockingbird. Haven't read.
4. Foxes Unearthed. Have read.
5. Started Early, Took my Dog - in the excellent Jackson Brodie literary crime series. Have read.
6. Carpentry and Joinery Book 2. Dave has read when he was training to be a carpenter.
7. The Life of Charlotte Brontë. Have read - at least twice.
8. Museums and Galleries of London - a madcap unstarted project to visit all the museums in London. Haven't used.
9. Foxy light - Christmas present from Dave.

The Charlotte Bronte certainly looks well thumbed and it looks like you use your maps. I see you have one that covers Bedford where I live .. do you ever visit?
This is super. I'm not sure I could come up with that much orange in our house. Most of our OS maps are bright pink and on a quick glance of my books, there are not many orange ones! Great idea and a lovely pic, accompanied by an interesting narrative. Big fav.
@helenhall not often no. The last time I remember was a couple of music weekends in Ampthill but that's actually slightly off this map. It was probably for a long forgotten day walk or two. That one doesn't look all that well used!
@jamibann we have a few of the pink ones and as for books, we actually have 1000s so it's not too hard to find the right colours - time for a book declutter methinks 🤣
@stowgarden no it's sort of a hard plastic, it's actually one of those battery powered lights and glows orange. This is probably about a third of our maps - lots more from all over. Sadly we don't walk half as much as we used to.
