As the woman in the Wicken Fen National Trust shop said: "You always come back to lemon and sugar." This was my third and last pancake - same as my first, lemon and sugar. In between was that other classic: Nutella and bananas...
And the daffs have come out - happy St David's Day.
I had no idea it was pancake day til this morning - off to coop for the ingredients otherwise Ed sulks, ha.
Lemon and sugar is the best, but tonight I had them with nutella, fancied something chocolately. Suffering now though, big bloated belly!

I made veg & dips, to make us eat something that was healthy first - though not sure how healthy soured cream slathered veg really is! Still ate 3 pancakes and Ed managed 5, ha!
Exactly the same as you Ayla. We had three each too! I have just posted on two pancake photos from the USA saying we like our pancakes like a crepe & rolled with sugar & lemon. Some pancakes are thicker & small…..I would call the drop scones. Each to the way they are used to.
I've never had a pancake with anything other than lemon and sugar or orange and sugar! I love both equally but the idea of fruit or syrups or nutella on a pancake has never appealed!
