Our guide stopped at a rural village to see at first hand how the people live. I snapped this little boy crossing the road by himself and discovered that he was the grandson of the lady who's house we visited. He was only 4 years old and was crossing a main road carrying many trucks, coaches and cars to take the basket to the adults in the nearby fields to harvest the crops. The grandma wasn't expecting us that day and was concerned that we may consider her house untidy! Can you imagine 10 foreign people stopping by to visit unannounced? It was a most enlightening visit.
Wow! What a super image, and I'd liked to have been a fly on the wall during your visit to grandma! I'm reading a book called 'The House of Trembling Leaves', set in Malaya, England and Tibet. You might enjoy it.
