Somewhere on my way to master the lights indoor.
I must say I like black backgrounds better, both aesthetic reason, and quality. I feel I have better control here (I don't see wrong shadows ha ha), and colors are brighter and better. I am not really sure where my focal point is here,
Next time I might try to explore grey background, and see what else can I do on white bckg. If nothing else I will move to high key- I like those. And I certainly have to figure the right spot in my home where I can easily and quickly setup a corner with lamp lights and reflection boards when I want to shot something... So it seems I still have some work to do here.
I like the way you have shot this, which makes 3 layers with the shell, the shadow and the ring of light. I like to use black backgrounds too, it always seems to suit a single item better. However, like you, I feel I should try other colours as backgrounds
