Nacre by cherrymartina

Nacre

Learned a new word as I am exploring world of shells in my collection, and playing with indoor photography. I will be playing with those beautiful colors and gloss for next few days... I'll try to capture it's natural perfection and imperfection
Excellent colors.

Interesting. Nacre is the French word for 'mother of pearl'. Figures. Nice shot.

@jamibann, Thanks Issi for additional info, I found this word in english dict for this shiny opalescent thin "layer" inside shells. We call it "sedef".
