(Day 251) - Zooming Colors

After spending all my time with the 50mm over the past weeks, my Tamron zoom lens was itching to get some love again. So decided to practice something that my 50mm couldn’t do…the zoom technique. It took a few attempts (I’m a bit rusty) but managed to get a shot that I like.
Wow Chris...I gotta look up how to do this! Great effect and I love the colours....It would make a great Christmas decoration!

@lynnb - Thank you Lynn. This effect isn't difficult to do but does take some trial and error. Basically you either zoom in or out while taking the picture with a slower shutter speed. It takes a few attempts and practice to get right. For me, it’s easier to do with a tripod. Can’t wait to see some of your zooming shots!

@wenbow - Thanks Wendy. I'm not entirely sure what you mean. If your asking about my focal length, it was at 28mm and I zoom foward. If your asking about my shutter speed it was at 1/15 of a sec.

@clarkafb_brat - Thanks John! It's a neat effect, especially on subjects that create streaks!

@pammerritt - I truly appreciate all your comments Pam!
