A photograph can easily speak for itself, but sometimes a quote or even a catchy title may invoke the exact mood the photographer was going for. The image and quote here shows what is at the heart of many of my photographs. While there is awesome joy in a spontaneous capture, I have tons of fun imagining my photo and figuring out all the details, materials, and techniques I need to make the image a reality (well...at least to the viewer). ◠‿◠
Sometimes I use editing or optical illusions to make my imagination come alive. But no extensive editing was used here, just an optical illusion with lego bricks and an off-camera toy airplane. To get a shadow, I adjusted the off-camera toy airplane's position and my light source to get the shadow in just the right spot.
Do you have any images which 'started with your imagination'? ◕‿◕
Aww shucks, thank you so much for the nice remarks you guys. I have to admit that it took a lot of thought to figure out what to do for the Letter Q. Happy to know the photo and quote were effective! :)
