Yesterday, I discussed my process of brainstorming my Monthly Themes. After brainstorming, it's time to get down to the nitty-gritty by scheduling individual photos for the month to my Google Calender. As you can see, I've scheduled "My Process" for this week, then a "Spoons Week," and then a "Forks Week."
Truly admire many of you who can take a photo each day on a whim. Unfortunately, that just doesn't work for me. I must have a schedule. Didn't have one for the 1st year and literally had times where I would be in my room staring at the wall trying to come up an idea. Haha. That was rough. Still have creative blocks from time to time, but a lot less thanks to my Themes and schedule.
Also this isn't set in stone. Sometimes new ideas come to me or I'll switch things around to a more convenient day. Sometimes I even get to choose from more than one idea for the day.
Now it's time to get back to scheduling...after I rescue CJ that is. :P
totally loivng not only the pre-event organizing, but also the fact that you actually carry through with your plans. Nuts of all kinds are my special love in the world
Wow! You put way lots of thought into this! It is impressive to see how organized you are! I am definitely more a "seat of my pants" kind a photographer! I hope there was a net to catch CJ!
Wow you put a lot of thought and effort into this! This is simply amazing I wish I could do this but I like the thrill of not having anything and then all of a sudden I can throw something together!
@juhstinfx - Thanks a ton Juhstin! I really do enjoy organizing stuff so that's why it works for me so well. But, you know, I had a lot of fun with that thrill too and glad to hear another point of view. Just to clarify though, I might not come up with every detail of the photo for the day. Sometimes all I need is one word or idea to think about throughout the day. Just knowing I have SOMETHING to capture that day puts me at ease. Then I can put it all together when I do take the shot. :)
Oh I see you are doing forks next, yay, I was going backwards through your project..... good on you for being so organised Chris. I never really plan anything much although I have to say I knew I was going to do heart month again this year so over last year I bought random heart shaped objects when I saw them on sale/reduce. My plan was to organise my heart shots too, but that kind of never happened... :)
@stephanies - Hahaha yep looking forward to trying my hand of photographing forks...knives on the other hand maybe another time. Thanks for the compliment on my organisation skills! I would say buying random heart shaped objects in advance is great planning as well even if you didn't organise the whole month. :D
