Nosey! by cjwhite

Nosey!

This butterfly is not as pretty as my magic moment butterfly, but it was just as friendly. I had never seen a butterfly like this one. The first thing I noticed was its long nose! I never saw it open, so I wasn't sure what color it was. I found it in my book. It's an American Snout. It's orange and brown on the upper side. I'm hoping to find another one, so I can see its colors.

Excuse the messy fingernails. I wasn't planning on taking pics of my nails today. LOL!

Thank you for taking time to view and comment on my pics!!! :0)

View large for a better look at the long nose. :0)
I want to come play in your yard with all these butterflies! Love them! I've never seen one like that either.

Interesting butterfly, I've not seen one like that before.
A moth was in our livign room today and my son was set on teh idea of keeping it so it could be his "friend" he spent a lot of time chasing it and asking it to come back but unlike your recent butterflies it wouldn't go near him.
I had to explain it was time for it to go when it went out through a window, we staved off tears but only just!
