It's been a cold, damp day. I didn't know if the birds would be out in the rain, but I saw this cardinal as soon as I went outside. He was really busy eating, so I kept snapping and creeping closer. I got several pics, but this one is my favorite. The birdseed flying from his stuffed bill looks like a heart. :0)

These birds amaze me - they have such a brilliant red colour. I don't know that we have them in Australia. Love the shape of the bird seed too. Good pick up. Almost done with your project Carolyn - great achivement!
