It was rainy and cool today. I went out early, before the heavy rain, to look for my pic. I didn't see any butterflies, but I spied this little hoverfly on one of the last dandelions.
It took awhile to get a pic. He kept flying away. While I was standing in the light rain with my raincoat and camera, staring at a weed, I thought about the neighbors. I had a neighbor ask me why I was always standing in the field looking down. He even put his arms out like he was holding a camera. LOL! They can't see my camera from the road, so I guess I do look like a crazy woman. I told him about the 365 and that I was taking pics. I hope he passes the information along! :0)
Thank you for stopping by to look at my pics! I really appreciate your comments!!! :0)
He's very pretty. Never saw such a red bee/wasp/fly (wonder what that really is). And what big eyes he has. Boy, close up even a dandelion looks beautiful.
These pictures are totally worth you standing in a field. So pffftthhh to him! ;) I know what you mean about the neighbors. I was down on my stomach shooting a picture when a lady walks by with her dog, and asks me just what am I doing. Well, isn't it obvious? I'm taking pictures of rainbow footprints...doesn't everyone?!
This is lovely! And yes, I am starting to FEEL crazy how I wander around my school, the woods behind my school, the field next to it.. just staring...sometimes, to creep up on wildlife, you ahve to walk REEEEAAALLLLY slowly so I know people see me and think I have LOST IT>
lovely clear focus. I think my neighbours think i am a crazy lady. I am often in the garden at night with my pyjamas on trying to photograph the moon, or lying on the grass trying to take a picture of flowers, or chasing the cat with the camera...the things we do eh!
Ha ha ha! " I had a neighbor ask me why I was always standing in the field looking down. He even put his arms out like he was holding a camera." I get crazy looks all the time. If only everyone were as obsessed with 365 as we were, they would understand! Another beautiful capture!
Great shot!
Fab piccie too, beautiful focus!
