Butterflies make me smile!

This is a new butterfly for me. I've captured Hairstreaks before, but not a Juniper Hairstreak. It's one of the Gossamer-Wing butterflies.

It's enjoying a wildflower called Common Fleabane. I was excited to see the fleabane blooming last week. Insects love it. :0)

So that is what this is called. I got a shot of one last fall....I think it was this. And it was rubbing those things in back up and down.....it was bizarre. I read it was to scare predators or something. Great capture. These guys are tiny and hard to get!
