Tiger Swallowtail

I found a Tiger Swallowtail today. The swallowtails really like the Bradford Pear tree. I wish it smelled better. :0)

I saw my first Monarch of the year, too. One of the cats saw it at the same time. I got one quick shot, before I had to rescue the butterfly. Trouble pounced on it. It flew away and I didn't see it again.

I saw another garter snake today. This is the time of the year that I'm jumpy walking through tall grass. To get to the pear tree, I have to walk across the hayfield. Before the 365, I would never even go in the field. I'll brave the snakes to get to the butterflies. LOL!
