Upleatham Church by craftymeg

Upleatham Church

The sun was glorious today as I went past St. Andrews church at Upleatham, and once more I stopped and took photos. It's is reputedly the second smallest church in England, the honour of the smallest church goes to Bremilham Church in Wiltshire which measures 4m x 3.6m. Upleathams St Andrews is 6m x 4m. It was built in 1684 originally and was actually much bigger but the majority of the building was demolished in 1822 leaving the tiny church which now remains.

We have just driven past this today on our way home from Saltburn and I've only just noticed it and how small it was! The OH didn't see it so thanks for taking this shot! :)
