We went to the coast today to see if there was any relief from the crushing heat but found it to be the same there (29c)!! The sands were strewn with folk enjoying the warmth and I couldn't resist taking this Birdseye view of the end of the pier. It was taken from the top of the cliff by the cliff lift which was doing a brisk trade ferrying folk down to the beach and back up to their cars as there was no parking spaces down there today. It just reminded me of the 60s when it was a very busy resort.
