Just thought I would let everyone see what greets me every morning when I go swimming! This freeze fills one wall of our private estate swimming pool. It was painted by a very talented young man before he went to university to study art, that was seven years ago and it is still very much admired by all the children and adults alike who use the pool. It took him many days and I was delighted to hand him a cd with all the photos I had taken during its progress and he took it with him for his portfolio. That young man I understand now works in the USA for an advertising company. Time does move on.....
@willowdragon I agree, it was very dull before he painted it! It has been painted twice, the same young man when he was 14 asked permission to paint an underwater freeze, it was great but he was so embarrassed when he grew older that he could now do better asked if he could do it again and that is what we have now!!
Nice shot of that young man's work and a great story to go with it. I wonder if he realises he regularly brightens people's days up for them? I think the trouble you took to capture his progress so that he could have a record was a lovely thing to do too.
