Saltburn Pier on Christmas Day

It's another miserable day here so do forgive the Christmas Day photo....... It was bitterly cold but there were a few brave souls along the pier!!
The floods did some awful damage here all along the front to the right of the picture the slipway down to the beach has all but disappeared , there is just a huge hole, this is the second lot of battering in just a couple of months.. There is a lot of work to do before it's going to be safe along the seafront, it's such a shame, it was just starting to look better after years of being very run down......
