Turbines by craftymeg

Turbines

Taken from a distance these turbines are huge, it’s hard to give a scale but the crane is about 250ft tall! The buildings are dwarfed by the size of them. They are on the other side of the river Tees.
Best on black

A super shot - fav! I hadn't realised wind turbines were being manufactures beside the River Tees. The blades are colossal. When it was Hull City of Culture a few years ago a blade was put on display in a big square in the city centre, made by a local factory there. It would have been interesting to know how they got it into the city centre.
