Gnarled by craftymeg

Gnarled

I have been wanting to get this tree on camera for many years and today I actually managed. It's over just past Chop Gate on the moor. It stands on the roadside which is a very narrow twisted and undulating road with no stopping places or parking. But I think it's a lovely specimen with a wonderful gnarled trunk, the drystone wall just adds to the weathered feel of this tree.
Nice on black

Thank you for all your comments and favs all are very much appreciated.
A superb photo. It has the look of something there since time immemorial, just marking the place.
