Grey Skies

No sunshine but a warm 22c, this is a different angle of the Cliff Lift in Saltburn. There was a steady trickle of folk going up and down to the beach and for the fabulous fish and chips they serve on the seafront. All that was missing was the sunshine!.

This is an interesting shot. Are the cliffs are so high over the beach that this is the easiest way to get up and down? The grey skies make the colors appear that much brighter.

Hi Kathy, yes the cliffs are quite high, there are many places with winding steps along the cliff tops but if you are not able to climb or get down them the lift is the best choice. It sets you down just in front of the pier. It's only open from about Easter till late autumn, then closed for winter.
