Trees

I love the bareness of this row of trees, made more prominent by the field of rape that it boundaries. I have no doubt this photo would not be as eyecatching if it were just a green field, I have waited several years of crop rotations to catch it with this sort of colour! At the moment the air is so fragrant from all the fields of rape, there are such a lot this year, but it's no place for the hay fever sufferer! Taken between Stokesley and Carlton North Yorkshire.

I used to dread scenes like this when I was a child because I suffered from hay fever, but as a young adult I had injections for 3 months over the wintertime to cure me and touch wood I have been fine ever since.
