These beautiful scarlet red poppies are growing in a wild flower garden on Marine Drive overlooking Saltburn seafront. I'm calling it that because every year these poppies re-seed and seem to take over the rest of the plants that are there. Today they were ablaze with colour but the wind was so strong I had trouble getting a clear shot. I eventually managed by using a higher shutter speed and waiting between wind blasts!!.
