Fisherman’s huts by craftymeg

Fisherman’s huts

Across the road from Paddy’s hole between the sand dunes lies an all shades of green fisherman’s village.

These huts are used by the fishermen as a refuge on days they fish, they have chimneys and you see them puffing away on cold days. I think they are more man sheds even though I have never seen inside one of them but I would think they are pretty cosy when the weather is cold and bleak.
Nice on black

I have had to re-post this photo, I thought I would add a bit more info and pressed the wrong button, I don’t know how!! So apologies to all of you who posted comments and favs and if you have the time would you re comment and fav for me please.

Lovely but the old power house (is it?) makes a rather ugly backdrop unfortunately.

Quite a contrast between foreground and background, the quaint (paint it any colour as long as its green) Fisherman's huts, and the industrial area. I couldn't imagine going to work and seeing that as my destination for too long. A very interesting image.

This must be a re-post? Perhaps you edited it again. I do that sometimes! I remember commenting before. I like it and all the sheds in front especially. Great to have a refuge from the weather!

It’s an old steel works a bit of an iconic structure here in the north east.

I like the vintage look of this photo. It could have been taken in the early 1900's.
