This photo says it all taken by their mam my daughter.
My granddaughter is just finding her legs and loves her brother who is always interested in what’s going on outside.
It’s such a bitter sweet photo, our granddaughter doesn’t know us and is clingy and weepy if anyone try’s to interact with her. She was born last May and we have been pretty much locked down / restricted since March. She’s a happy smiley child but knows no one.
Her brother had his 2nd birthday the day after lockdown and happily loves seeing us but wonders why he sees no one or goes anywhere. The way things are going he’s going to have his third birthday in this lock down.
Happily one of the better things to come out of this enforced living is he loves watching the CBBS children’s programs that teach letters and numbers. He taught himself to count to ten and with his mum encouraging him he now can say his alphabet, spell out and read words and count to 20 and recognize numbers upto a hundred. He’s amazing and gets so much pleasure out of it. Last night he spelt out and read, mouse, green and sheep all words he has never seen before. I don’t think he would have been doing this if not for this past year. Mind you he still has no interest in potty training!!

Thank you for all your lovely comments and favs all are appreciated and welcome.
So sweet - I know these times must be particularly hard for those with young grandchildren. At least there are ways in today's tech world to "see" them often.
So glad to hear the good of it for little ones. The older is really doing so well he's going to be far ahead of his classmates whenever they finally do get to go back. Congratulations to Mom.
How cute and sad at the same time. My granddaughter was born in England, Stoke on Trent. She was the first of our two grandkids. Each time we, or they, visited it was heartbreaking each time we or they had to part again.
training stuff. One day, he'll just do it.
