hidden gate by cruiser

hidden gate

this gate is exposed when the tide is out in the River Thames. I believe it is a stormwater exit but it looks like an entrance to an underground dungeon.
I am in France now. We have been visiting the graves of family members who lost their lives in the first World War. Due to internet restrictions and time I may not get to comment or post regularly for the next week or so. Miss having time to look at your projects. will catch up ASAP
Great capture of textures,

It does look ominous - love the green moss!

Great shot. This looks more ominous than being locked up in The Tower of London.

Excellent capture! Yes, it looks like a dungeon gate in a fairy tale. Waiting for a dragon to appear now...

finally got a decent internet connection and can enjoy catching up with you all. I am loving France and also very moved by the memorials to the Great War and the tragic loss of so many young lives.

PS thought you might like to see a part of the Thames that is not always noticed.
