Today we returned to Wells Next the Sea.
Bit it felt as if we had landed on another planet.
We arrived halfway through the afternoon the previous day,
arriving in the morning we discovered that the tide was out - right out!
It felt like we were in a completely different place!
The boat channel was full of adults & children, enjoying the water.
The tide turned and stated to reclaim the beach,
at the point it was no longer safe to be on the wrong side of the channel, a klaxon sounded.
However some people took no notice,
and it took several attempts with loud hailers for them to get the message.
The tide came in quickly,
the grounded bouys began to float.
There was a boat waiting beyond the sandbar for the time when it would be safe to sail up the channel.
Soon the beach looked more familiar.
But a beach is never the same,
the tide heights vary,
the light changes,
the sands shift.
