Roswell Mill Dam by darylo

Roswell Mill Dam

My first ONS had me going all UrbanEx with the Roswell Mill, so I wanted to retrace my roots and visit the power behind the mill--the dam! The light was dark, so perfect for 100 ISO, small aperture, and long exposure--just not too long. A sunny day would not work I think. We have had lots of rain lately, so the water is this earthen color (more likely Ga. red clay mixed in with water). It was so nice to go out on my own today. I asked my kids to come along, but they opted for hanging out at home. And I was A-OK with that! :)

My official ONS6 shot is here: http://365project.org/darylo/365/2013-12-07

The color takes it out of the ordinary. I enjoy the placement of the little tree against the brightest area.

@rvwalker It's odd that the color is that warm and rusty, but it really is--Georgia red clay is everywhere and when it rains, it just colors away! I debated that tree over and over, but it just wanted to be in the shot! :)

Nice! Whenever I try to do silky water, the wind is blowing so the greenery looks bad,LOL This is great!
