While appetizing, not my best effort. Bulgogi is very tender and good. Kimchi still ok, but I seem to be the only one eating it, so I think I may get rid of the stinky stuff! ha
My youngest daughter is at running camp and last night she texted me that she thought she might have an infected foot from a blister--turns out she does have a serious infection and her foot is swollen. After a trip to the Urgent Care in Asheville, NC, and a prescription for antibiotics, she is spending her final evening with friends somewhere on the UNC Asheville campus. I'm trying to decide if I will go to pick her up tomorrow or stick with the original plan to have another parent pick bring her home for me (I took kids up).
My child is not texting me back, and I don't know what to do. I know she'll be fine, but I really wish she had gotten some medical attention earlier--the odd thing is that she would not go to the clinic last night because 1) she didn't know where it was (that did not please me) and 2) she was afraid she'd get in trouble for being out of her room after curfew. So she waited another 8 or so hours with it infected before the morning....
Ramblings of a troubled mother's mind. I'm sure she'll be fine.
Update. I'll be driving back up to Asheville tomorrow to get her. I predict I'll be tired. But reassured to see her.
@grammyn She is being admitted to hospital, so please pray. River water may have caused infection. Foot all swollen now. 2 days minimum to be pumped with 3 hard core antibiotics. Trying to be calm.
Yum, I love bulgolgi and kim chi. You eat so many yummy foods.
Sorry to hear about your daughter. Sending best wishes for her speedy recovery. It's amazing what medicines they have these days.
Oh gosh, what a stressful time you had! It is so hard, we give them freedom, because they need to learn and grow from that freedom, but the concern and worry never stops!

Sorry about the chaos with your daughter. These are the trying years for that. But it never gets easy no matter how old they are!
