This lady visitor (do not know type of bird) is part of the many birds and rodents (squirrels and chipmunks) attracted by the squeaks of the baby wrens in the house (still being held together by duct tape). The wren house is noisy! I can see their beaks now. I'm so anxious that some may not make it. I never realized how much other birds also are predators (other than the obvious hawk or owl). Today was a massive "scene" in the back yard.
If anyone can id this bird for me, I'd appreciate it. I got a nice GA bird book from my mom the other day, so I'll peek in it tomorrow a.m. Just decided last minute to post this one as I liked it. I THINK the male (yellow maybe) is also nearby--maybe another mating pair??
@espyetta All I know is that bigger birds came a visiting once the babies were born, and not in a good way. I think they are curious, but I know some do attack. Wrens are pretty ruthless protectors, so I'm not as worried as I was when the chickadees were in the house (and all 6 eggs were raided by a chipmunk). Such a soap opera in my back yard.
