The 4 bigger girls asked “Granny can we do some hand prints and mix our own colours “ I should have known from the amount of giggling that there was something amiss.
Paint everything not just all over the children but I think Molly’s expression says it all. I had to mop the kitchen floor before I could begin to sort them out.
Happy days, making memories.
@carole_sandford my kids did at home painting outdoors, baking with me best when they played outdoors and don't even ask about Play-Doh!!! @quietpurplehaze I intend to be a grandparent like my mum was, very hands orff!!
@denful Denise I think you are a saint!! What a fabulous photo you made here 😊
Oh my word….I think I’m cringing…..I’m slightly in the clean & tidy camp spoilsports that we are! You sound much more fun than me! I don’t mind mess outside & all our mess did tent to be outside on the farm where they could muck about as much as they liked!
A few years ago our grandsons came over from NZ & the first thing out DIL wanted was a craft table set up…..they played on it one day then no ever looked again yet that darn craft table stayed up for over two weeks with all its glue, paint & sequins!
@wakelys sadly this Granny had no covering so the oak table needed a good clean!! I have paint on my jumper, but the table is clean my floor needed mopping anyway although the walls did take a little longer. They are only young once!! I’m not too long a time Granny will have been replaced by friends so it’s not forever.
You are all spoilsports 😘😘😘
@quietpurplehaze@carole_sandford@happypat@denful This brought back memories. Our eldest daughter Debbie brought a book home from the school library called A Picture for Harold's room. Here it is if you are interested but DON'T buy
the book.
She read the book to her younger sister Zoe who was only 3 at the time and the next day Zoe and her friend Helen decided to create A Picture for Harold's Room on her bedroom walls and windows using paint, crayon, felt tip pens and coloured pencils.
It took hours to wash off all the damage and because we were living in an RAF married quarter the walls had to be spotless before we moved out or we would have been charged for the damage. Luckily I got the walls and windows cleaned with the help of a friend. I think I am still in therapy on that one, ha ha.
@onewing I would love to have seen your face Babs…I expect they thought it was a masterpiece! 😳. After watching the video I would be tempted to draw a picture for Harold too…it’s quite tempting in its simplicity! 🤣

My daughter decided to draw on the wall with nail varnish when she was little!
