While out driving this afternoon, I was taken with the lovely colours in the market gardens. The onions have taken off as the ground is warming up, and in the distance is a field of mustard, ready to be chopped in as green mulch. Mustard is known to help cleanse the soil and is used to help suppress weeds and diseases. The market gardeners use mustard as part of the rotation to rest the soil. The old barn just adds to the vibrant colours.
