The freight train

Last night, I was trying some more low-light photography. I decided that the railway station would be a good place. As I stood on the walkway over the track, I could see a train coming. It was a freight train, so it raced on through. The vibration on the bridge and the wind as it whistled past under my feet was incredible! I should have waited a bit longer for a passenger train, so I could have had some people in the image too.

What a neat shot.. I like that the station has not changed much over the years.. We use to go and pick up friends that use to come and stay every holiday's from Rotorua and it was the 'Rail Car'.. a very exciting outing for these country kids...
