Another trip to the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery this evening. I just felt the urge to visit there again to show my respect for all those who have so bravely served our nation. This is one of many views looking up over a hillside, a peaceful resting place for hundreds of men and women who have served our Nation. When I editied the photo with the focal B/W to see how it would look, I was surprized to see just a splash of color in the sky. I thought it was close enough to Red, Whit & Blue to show my support of National Pride Week.
That's a beautiful shot! This is great, because when I first looked at this shot, I thought it looked a little red, white and blue! I read your caption and was a little proud that I hit the nail right on the head!
Really great shot! Love the changes in colours and mediums.
btw my meteorite, was the mountain with an obelisk on top at Port Macquarie Australia, I edited with free transform warp!!!
Love your shot! The trees against the sky look great!
Thanks for your comment on my banksia.
The cone is really a seed pod - when bush fies got through the bush, this pod explodes and the seeds go everywhere.
great shot...I didn't realize until I read your profile, that we are "neighbors", sort of.... I work in Reading, although I live in Schyuylkill county.
My husband's aunt is buried here. She was an Army nurse during WWII. We attended her funeral on an incredibly cold winter afternoon about 10 years ago. The setting was not this lovely as you can imagine.
I posted a reply to your question under my pic. It was too long to post here. (I can be too damned wordy.)
