If We Could Only Learn To See Each New Day As A Gift
We Could Then Be Thankful For The Challenges Of Each New Tomorrow (Thoughts By Rick Schies)
I arose early this morning and went out to one of my favorite places, Middle Creek Wildlife Preserve. It was my intention to capture a nice sunrise. Its been awhile. Well I was anything but disappointed with what I found. It was a beautiful one, and I am so glad that I took the time to go out. It was a beautiful morning, very little humidity, and standing there in the quiet, waiting for the sun to rise I was able to have a talk with God. Early morning talks, out in the open country like that where all you hear is nature around you, it is almost as though you are meeting Him at Heaven's door. It was so meaningful, especially being surrounded by something as beautiful as this.
Simply magnificent!! I have so many health issues that every day I wake up in the morning is a blessing. I am thankful for so many little things that others might take for granted. There are times I can't even bend my arm to brush my own hair. I enjoy every second of every day that God gives me. The beauty all around us is amazing!
Wow, absolutely stunning Rick! this is a lovely thing to wake up to on a Monday morning sitting at my laptop at work - bored out of my brain and not anywhere near awake yet! Thank you, its gorgeous....and I have been thinking about doing the same, getting up super early on the weekend and driving out in the country to catch some nature sights.
Rick, thank you for sharing this wonderful sunrise and such inspiring words. This is such a beautiful scene and a nice change from our urban decay theme.
What a beautiful and serene scene, Rick! This morning we attended a morning "Gospel Sing" with many of the performers here this weekend. One had written a song about "church out under the sky" that was just beautiful. It's always where we find it, isn't it?
Beautiful! I got up for sunrise while we were on vacation a couple of weeks ago and it was so worth it. What a special time of day and the light is like no other. I go to church, but often feel like places like this are my REAL church. So pretty!
This is a gorgeous sunrise -- what a wonderful way to start any day.
With the weather we're having the early morning is the cool of our day -- its almost like there's a part of you that "remembers" when God came to talk and walk with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day.
That is one of the best ways to start a morning, to see it happen right there before your eyes. I never tire of sunrise or sunset photos. God's art. :)
Thanks for the reminder!

Gorgeousss!
He has risen indeed!
