"Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again. But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst. But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." (John 4:13-15)
I came across this old fashioned water pump and immediately I thought of these familiar verses. Life has taught me that God's love is unconditional and everlasting. Some say God's a crutch and some say there is no God, and I condemn no one for their beliefs. From time to time we all need someone to lean on. Life has taught me that some friends let you down, and their love is superficial. Others will remain true no matter what. God is the faithful friend. Over and over He has proven Himself faithful to His promises. If He is a crutch, at least it won't break under the weight of the pressure we sometimes carry. If I need a crutch I want to use one that will keep me from falling on my face.
The photo has an earthly beautiful which I just love -- but the verse you have used and the comments you included have a heavenly beauty beyond measurement.
Thats beautiful Rick - I love old things and rust...and flowers of course. Your words are always so amazing and inspirational. A nice thing to wake up to on a Sunday morning in Australia ! (:
Beautiful photo and your words come at a time I needed to hear them. You are so right that life teaches us these lessons if only we open ourselves up to listening to HIs words. Thanks, Rick.
Now re my stop sign shot - guess I fooled everyone as this was just a regular stop sign. On our morning walk, my friend and I found a small dead snake. We balanced him on the bolt at the bottom of the sign and I took the photo. Back home, I added the text in Picnik! So, it really is true that you can't believe everything you see!
Re: that's too bad--it's still neat looking. I always wanted one of these in my kitchen (they do make them for the sink) but my hubby isn't really keen on the idea!
Re: Grandson uses the hydrant as a gas station. Papa's tractor runs on go-go juice, so he has to stop and put go-go juice in his also.
and great great message. you are such a wise man... I always read your commentary.
