A simple, but yet powerful symbol of universal hope that is able to reach beyond any boundary. Its message is still strong, and it still has the ability to instill a sense of hope into the hearts and minds of those who believe in the power of what the cross represents. For those of us who exercise a faith in God, in Christ, the image of the cross serves as a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice that was made for mankind. For those of us who exercise a faith in God, without the cross, we would have no hope.
Great photo and words, Rick.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." Romans 15:13
I'm not much for the cross, but very nice composition, i'm amazed how you can get these shots with your hands in them come out so well, mine always have some issue that makes them useless.
Great minds think alike Rick ~ but then when your faith is in Jesus, the cross exemplifies that hope, so it is bound to come forward in our thoughts and I 'hope', in our actions too
Jeremiah 29:11 - 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." The Lord is my HOPE! I don't know how people manage without that hope. Thank you
Beautiful cross! I thought about taking a photo of one that I have hanging in my house but I haven't yet. It's off of my grandmother's casket and hangs in my living room.
Amen--I'm looking for a Christ figure to photograph for this week's theme. Gotta get to a big cemetery where the richer people lived and died--my island people couldn't affor those big Christ stones.
