We took the puppies out for a walk today, and it was nice to get out again to enjoy the fresh outdoors. In spite of the temperatures still being a bit on the chilly side, it looked more like Spring, because the lake was full of people fishing. Trout season opened yesterday, so the waters were hopping. Right now I am unable to participate in that favorite past time, but in a few weeks I'm hoping to be out there with them. This guy appears to have it made. He is out in the open, not bothered by the crowd along the shore, just sitting there waiting for the big one. His better half sitting quietly, under a few blankets enjoying her book. It looks like a great way to spend the afternoon together.
What a nice wife! My husband loves to fish, but I just can’t stand to sit still so long. He’s heading up to Lake Erie this week to see if he can catch some walleye.
I want to be them! This photo reminds me of my husband and myself, except I love to fish as much as I love to read, so I'd probably have a rod in my hand. Nice capture! I hope you get back to fishing soon.
This gives me hope that the ice on all of our lakes will melt someday. I like the lighting and the reflection of the boat in the water. And may you be back on the water soon !
The reflections are very pretty... soon enough. The healing time isn't that long is it? I thought joint replacement had a pretty quick healing time considering it is an invasive sort of thing, to replace a bone that is, not like exploratory or something in the abdomen, but certainly invasive if you were to ask me.
@hellcat You have to give the implant at least two weeks to be well seated and secured, and then you begin with only range of motion for a week or two and then some strengthening. All in all, about 6 - 8 weeks till it is all said and done.
This photo gave me a nice chuckle- how fun that they're so comfortable with each other. It's ok is she reads. It's ok if he's fishing. Both are together; both doing what they love. Great shot!
