This is one of the families of young gesse I ran into yesterday while out for a walk. The little ones were scampering all over the place, but Mom was right there watching over them. At one point I came a little too close to the little ones, and Momma was up, right away, and with her neck stretched out she let out a big long hiss. I knew if I moved much closer I would be dealing with her. So much like our own Mothers. Don't mess with my babies, right? You know what I mean. Well, today is a day set aside for Mothers everywhere. Happy Mother's Day to all out Mothers out there, and thank you for being there for us, day and night, for the long hours of worrying, and even though we've forgotten to say "Thank You" so many times, your love remained true and strong. God Bless You Mom.
Outstanding capture! And so true about Mothers. We are fierce when we feel our babies are being threatened. And the worry never ends, even when they are grown & out of the house...
Mama's all over the world can relate.. what is this strange looking guy doing near my babies?? lol
The babies look like they are kissing... great capture....
it's a wonderful shot Rick, love the lighting on the ducks and your caption is very true! It's amazing really how animals are instinctively so protective over their babies.
@loey5150 Lois, thanks for asking. Actually my hand is doing fine. I have one more therapy session and I believe I will be discharged. I have regained almost full range of motion, and basically all I need to do is continue to strengthen it.
Aww, these guys are so cute. I saw some the other day trying to cross the street. Ended up getting out of my car and "herding" them out of traffic myself.
The babies look like they are kissing... great capture....
