I forgot how annoying these guys were. This guy has been setting with some of my Daughter's things for several years. I picked it up to move it, so I could look through some of the things to find something to photograph, and to my surprise, the silly thing began its jabbering. His ears began to move, his eyes and mouth opened and closed. What do you know, I found my subject for tonight. I remember our Daughter playing with him and trying to teach him to say different phrases, and all the while we were wishing the thing would shut up. It never learned that, LOL. So here is Furby. How many remember them? You know the worst part about this scenario? As much of a pain as it was, a few years ago I bought my Grand-daughter a newer and bigger version. You know what? They're still a huge pain, LOL, but she liked it. I'm uploading a bit earlier tonight as we are going away, so I will catch up later. Hope you have a great evening.
I was working at Walmart when these things were big. I will never forget Black Friday morning and watching grown ups in a human stampede. I still laugh at that,
What a great toy to add to this theme and your project! I've heard of them...but never had them! I like the effects that you added...as if it's from a time long ago.
furby!!! yes. too cute. i remember these very well. my mom had some that she played with. and she bought some for my kids. they are a blast. i ran across some of ours today and put them up on the dresser. i was thinking of taking pics of them this week. they didn't talk to me when i moved them. i think i took the batteries out a lonnnnng time ago ;)
My neice carried her Furby everywhere. I was just thankful it went home with her. (o: Thankfully my boys were beyond those types of toys when they hit the market. I like your photo of him though.
You certainly was asking for trouble bying her another bigger version..but she liked it and that's what's important...boy what don't we do for our children?...furby is cute and of course we can't hear him/her /it ..bonus.
Ha! I forgot all about these things....we have 2 or 3 of them around here someplace. The kids each had one but quickly became bored with them! Great picture, thanks for reminding me just how annoying these little guys are! :)
Oh my gosh! I remember these. All my friends got them as soon as they came out (the stores were sold out so they went through the nesw paper and paid double). I didn't get one for a few months and once I did I realized it wasn't all that cool after all. They hype around these things was crazy! Great shot though, love the b&w!
LOL! I remember those! It's common practice among me and my family and friends to find the most annoying toy for each others kids... this would be on my list. :)
Oh my! We lived in an apartment and I couldn't get a dog, so guess what I got? Yep, a Furby! His name was Nemo and he'd sit on my desk and come alive out of the blue! I have to say, it was so much better than a pet rock! Love the cute photo!
I hope you have a good break Rick :)
