A Memory Was Made

I have some fond memories of some of the toys from my youth, but now my Grand-daughter has one of her own. I rememer when she began riding this bike, first with the training wheels, and then the big day when she graduated to only two wheels. Well, she has now outgrown this bike. The time has gone by so fast. Her birthday is coming in August, so I guess we'll be shopping for a new set of wheels. The next bike will last until she once again will graduate back to four wheels again. Another milestone, and a new memory to be made.
Great processing to match your story Rick. Love those butterflies.

Lovely picture and memories but please don't rush it... time goes too fast as it is. I agree with one more bike but back to four wheels has me stumped.. I guess I don't get it unless you mean pushing a four wheeler or driving four wheels as in a car????

@bruni Yes Bruni, I was referring to the big step, moving up to the car. I do not want to rush it, but we all know how fast time flies.

Well Rick you might have inspired me once again for a picture for tomorrow. I still have the tricycle that our oldest daughter rode but it definately, is not in the shape of the one pictued here. Great memories!

@doitforfun Go for it Brenda. She didn't get to ride this one too often as she only visits us on weekends, so it has been spared the rugged life. I told her if we have yard sale she could sell it and make some money. she smiled.

Such a fond memory and such a sweet comment to go with the bike. I'd say print it, commentary and all, frame it, and give it to her when she graduates to 4 wheels once again. (Maybe even adding in the next two wheeler as well in a collage) Precious memories.

Love the addition of those oh-so-feminine butterflies. I am having the same experience with my granddaughter. I think of that song, "Where are you going my little one, little one" Soon they'll be out the door and we can't stop time.
