I pass this little country turn off sometimes on my way home from work. It s one of those little country roads that winds through some farmland. At this time of the year it looks so peaceful, and to me there is nothing more relaxing than a drive through some of the lush country farmland. With the rain we've been having the past few days, things are getting green again, and it looks so much nicer. Hope you have a nice evening.
That corn sure is green! It's interesting to see the growing season of different areas. Most of the corn crops here in Texas are shelled in June and July. Looks like if you drove a bit further, you could get a shot of the pasture in the foreground and that house in the background. Two totally different perspectives, yet virtually one location.
Love this! The view evokes a lot of emotions for me. It seems like i have been dreaming of places like this. So serene and beautiful. I always love a country feel.
Great processing! You certainly have some impressive views for traveling back and forth to work! How high is that corn? Corn on our farms in SD is 6-8ft. tall and will be harvested in October or early November. Love this photo!
Beautiful photo, Rick. This made me homesick a bit...I grew up in upstate NY on the PA border and this shot reminds me of my old home. I've only visited 3 or 4 times in the past 20 years, but I can still remember how lush and green it smelled...
@weekendhacker Yes Arnold, I feel for you guys. We were really dry too, but then had a few days of showers and it really helped. Hope you guys get some relief soon.
A lovely shot.
