This is one of the main buldings on the campus of the Lebanon VA Medical Center. A haven, a place where the men and women who have served our country can get the medical and mental health help they need. Everytime I drive by the campus and see this main building I am always impressed by the appearance of the well kept grounds. I've attended some in-services there, and it is very difficult to find your way round due to its size. Anyway, with all the windows in this main building, I thought it served the weekly theme quite well. Hope everyone's weekend is going well.
What a magestic and beautiful building! All those windows do make it perfect for the theme, and I really like the idea of the light shining in on all those who have served our country and are in need of help.
What a grand old building with gorgeously-kept grounds. It's well-worth the people who fought to keep your country peaceful and safe; and will most probably be used well into the future.
This is a beautiful building and I would love to go inside to talk to everyone. I am so grateful for those who have served and they deserve the very best.
Very impressive. The VA hospital near my dad's place has been great with him. Those who have served our country through the military certainly deserve it. Nice shot.
Coming from a military wife, I hope that the care inside is as good as the complex is kept up outside!! Nice processing here . . and yes, lots of windows!
This is a wonderful building... huge amounts of windows (fits this weeks theme perfectly) I hope the hero's inside are having the very best care, they most certainly deserve it!!
@sarasdadandmom Yes Terry, it is sad to hear about such stories, and though this place looks beautiful there have been some stories that make you wonder, though I do think most large facilities like this have some problems. All in all though, I do believe the bottom line is, the Vets are taken care of. It's all the red tape of going through the right procedures (jumping through hoops) getting all the paperwork done correctly, and of course the availability of services in a more timely manner, all of which can make it all frustrating to those who need the help. The government has a way of getting under your skin when it comes to paperwork.
@digitalrn Thanks Rick, the VA in Indy was one of those, that had to get a make over. The building was deplorable. It now does a pretty good job, but is still over whelmed and short staffed. I pray, that they will only improve as time goes on.
It is a beautiful photo. I am afraid our veterans hospital in St. Louis, Mo. is not as nice. It takes over 3 mo. to get an appt. and they still charge way to much to our vets. I am just hoping the rest are better in other areas.
Love this photo and the grounds looking immaculate, make for a pretty picture but it's like anything of beauty it's always only skindeep and it's whats going on inside that really counts. Thank you for the information about this building.
