This morning it was a bit on the cool side, 54' to be exact, but we decided to bundle up and do a little fishing. The Grand-daughter was here for the weekend my Son, Grand-daughter and I packed up the gear and hit the road. We were out about an hour, and it began to rain. So much for a day of fishing. Initially we thought it was going to be a quick passing shower, but it was persistent, and seemed to be getting a bit heavier, so we decided it was best to call it a morning. Shortly after we were all packed up, the rain picked up some more, so we were glad we packed up when we did. Kassidy caught a sunfish and a crayfish. The rest of us, nothing. I tried to convince Kassidy that her crayfish was actually a mini lobster, and that perhaps Grandma would appreciate a mini lobster dinner. She didn't buy it. I can't pull the wool over her eyes like I used to. Next to where we were sitting was this big old tree that had fallen into the water. By the looks of it, it had been there for quite some time. I thought it would make a nice photo so I grabbed a few quick shots. After playing with several textures, I decided on this one. The photo is B/W, but the texture I chose actaully added a bit of green to the bottom, and it looks like it belongs in the photo. Hope you are all having a great Saturday.
At first I thought the texture was a reflection of clouds in the sky. It adds a really nice mood to the picture. Great addition to a really nice photo. Enjoy your time with your son and granddaughter!
Sometimes the editing is as much fun as findig something to photograph! Well, even though the fishing trip was cut short, you still got in some family time and that counts for a LOT!
I don't think it's creepy at all! I think it's gorgeous. I love fallen trees and the reflections here are stunning. Sorry your fishing trip got rained out and even sorrier you can't pull the wool over Kassidy's eyes. It's fun to see them grow, but also a bit nostalgic for their littler selves.
The reflection takes this from a B&W photo that I love dearly..(you know me and B&W) to a B&W photo that could be published and that I love dearly. WHOA.
very nice ... =)
Son and granddaughter. Enjoy the weekend.
