I just now returned home from Pittsburgh, 11:00pm. What a drive home. The construction, rain, slow traffic, all made it a long drive home. So I am using a photo I took Tuesday night while visiting the city of Pittsburgh, looking down from Mt. Washington. It was a wonderful sight. I am tired, and I am going to bed. Will catch up tomorrow sometime. Hope you all had a great night and a have a great day tomorrow.
Much has changed. Haven't researched it, but I assume that the old Gulf Building is a thing of the past?? I remember being told what the colour combination of the top of the building meant in terms of weather forecasting.
Great shot of a great city. Loved visiting it and wandering through the Carneige Melon Museum. My older son and I made it our first stop on his graduation trip to Colorado and my younger son and his wife honeymooned there (yes, they wanted to!)- so it will always have a special place in my heart. This is my favorite view of it. Beautiful shot.
The light on those buildings is gorgeous and I love how they dwarf the bridge, which has a ton of eye appeal as well, and gives great perspective to this photo. Sorry your ride home was so long. Hope you get some rest!
so good ...
love the scene ... =)
