My drive to work this morning was marked by scenes like this one as the sun was beginning its climb into the morning sky. This little area is a very small community consisting of only a few homes, and a small country church. You can barely make out its steeple as the sun comes up behind it. Sipping on my morning coffee, listening to the music, and country scenes like this all make my daily commute a peaceful and enjoyable experience. It is such a blessing to leave the city limits and drive into the open country. It was a busy day and evening as we prepare for our trip. Hoping you all had a great Friday, and also enjoy a beautiful weekend.
What a beautiful sight to see on your morning commute. Mine is just the opposite, as my train whisks me out of suburbia, through the projects and into the madness of NYC. Wanna trade? ;)
Beautiful capture. And since I rarely see a sunrise myself I appreciate other people getting up to capture them on film so I can see what they look like. :)
...like the first morning...this is stunning, Rick. I'm not much of a morning person, but you're making me see what I'm missing, as always. I hope you know how much you inspire me and so many others on this 365 journey. I love your b&w shots and for weeks I've been looking for a proper subject and tonight I found one. It's such a newbie shot, but I was thinking of you when I took it and then again when I processed it...I finally figured out the textures thing, thanks to you. I hope you have a really nice trip and enjoy your family time to the fullest!
Stunning morning view :) I miss seeing sunrise on my way to work - the Sun gets up before I do now that we're starting to head into summer in this hemisphere... I'm glad to share your morning view instead!
Love the title as it is perfect for the photo. The church steeple appears to have its own light shining on it. Love the soft tones. Beautiful frame. Something about this photo...keep pulling me back again and again. I wish I was more savvy when it comes to technical terms of photography but I think this is a moving and inspirational photo. Sorry for the long comment but it comes from the heart! Beautiful way to start my day and a FAV! Happy weekend to you and your wife!
The small church and the sunbeams right next to it surrounded by the trees makes this picture so serene. enjoy your trip Rick, have a great time with your family and a safe trip home.
beautiful ...
It is one of my very favourite songs from Cat Stevens.
